John Marini

John W. Marini, Member Board of Directors DRCA

Mr. Marini is the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Adjusters International. He has extensive disaster management and disaster recovery experience, applying his knowledge of public adjusting and the FEMA Public Assistance Program toward the establishment of a team of more than 175 consultants who assist municipalities with their FEMA grant management and insurance recovery following a disaster. 

Mr. Marini specializes in public entities and the FEMA grant process, including eligibility, allowability, and hazard mitigation, as well as the integration of insurance claims with the FEMA process. He has been involved in the management of Adjusters International's Hurricane Operations, with leadership experience ranging from Hurricane Andrew in 1992 to hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma in 2005, and hurricanes Gustav and Ike and the Midwest floods of 2008. 

For his contributions to the recovery and rebuilding at Ground Zero after the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center, Mr. Marini received the James G. Hellmuth Unit Citation "for invaluable contribution to the World Trade Center Loss Recovery Team" from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, owners of the World Trade Center. In the history of the award, Mr. Marini is one of only two people from outside the Port Authority who were ever bestowed the honor. (The other was Ronald A. Cuccaro, President and CEO of Adjusters International.) Mr. Marini has more than a dozen years experience with the FEMA Public Assistance Program and 17 years as a Licensed Public Adjuster, holding licenses in the states of New York, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. He holds a B.S., in Business Administration.
