Mr. Young was Regional Director of FEMA Region VI from 1993 – 2001 and served as Administrator for 133 federally declared disasters and emergencies. He is nationally known and recognized in the Emergency Management business and is extremely knowledgeable about FEMA policies and procedures. He is a retired Captain of the Arkansas State Police where he served for 26 years. He has provided management support and technical assistance to CrowderGulf following the 2005 Hurricanes that devastated the Gulf Coast, Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne in 2004, as well as Hurricane Isabel in 2003.
Mr. Young also works with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Program as an adjunct instructor. This program has a contract to provide terrorism response training to include all types of incidents for local and state governments, as well as the U. S. Air Force. He conducts full-scale exercises with local and state agencies in response to incidents of terrorism and natural disasters. Mr. Young is one of the most knowledgeable people working in the debris management business with first-hand experience in managing major disasters.
